Position open in MSUSA campus committee

Job description below, training is available. The position is paid up to $350/semester. Applications due Thursday at 3 p.m.

Diversity Specialist

Roles:
• Member of the MSUSA Campus Committee
o Work collaboratively with other Campus Committee member
• Serve as a member of the MSUSA Diversity Advisory Board
o Attend meetings, conference calls as directed by Director of Campus Organizing

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist MSUSA with general diversity awareness.
• Help plan diversity workgroups for MSUSA conferences.
• Assist in planning diversity events on campus.
• Attend MSUSA conferences, as directed.
• Participate in MSUSA committee meetings.
• Submit a written report to the Campus Coordinator by the last day of the month detailing completed work for that month.
• Continually update the Campus Coordinator on the status of work assignments and projects.
• Gather information regarding diversity related events and issues on your campus.
• Update MSUSA campus committee of relevant diversity information on a weekly basis.
• Work with diversity related committees, organizations, departments, and the Diversity Officer on campus.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Campus Coordinator and the Diversity Facilitator.

Job Requirements

• Must be a student in good standing at the campus for which they’ve been chosen
• Familiarity with MSUSA and its goals
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with campus personnel and MSUSA
• Good communication skills, both verbal & in writing
• Demonstrate good time management practices
