Economics majors presented at national economics undergraduate research conference

Rachel Hettich, Victoria Duncan, and Cody Brandt presented at the Issues in Political Economy’s 20th annual conference. Hettich studied the impact of gasoline prices on obesity rates across the U.S.; teen pregnancy rates across Minnesota counties was the topic of Duncan’s paper; and Brandt studied the economic impact of NCAA sanctions on a university’s teams.

This is the 10th consecutive year MSUM economics majors participated in the conference. Oscar Flores, Economics, mentored Hettich, Duncan and Brandt.
