University of Lincoln visiting professor will speak about electronic music
David McSherry, visiting professor from the University of Lincoln in England, will speak on “There’s something very un-British about electronic music” at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Fox Recital Hall (CA 266).
McSherry is a Senior Lecturer within Lincoln’s School of Media, providing teaching and support in the audio production areas of music (composition and production), sound theory, and sound design. He is also well known as one half of Fila Brazillia, the electronica collaboration from Kingston upon Hull, England.
Fila Brazillia has released 10 albums, done remixes for such artists as Black Uhuru, Busta Rhymes, UNKLE, and Radiohead, and had their music used commercially by CSI, Sex and the City, and Nokia, among others.
