Red River Philosophy Conference at MSUM Saturday
4th Annual Red River Undergraduate Philosophy Conference Saturday, Nov. 19 in Comstock Memorial Union
Student presentations start at 10 a.m. in CMU rooms 203, 205, and 207, and the keynote speaker–Dr. Mark Woods, University of San Diego, will speak at 1 p.m. in CMU 101.
Woods (University of Colorado, Boulder, 1997, is an associate professor of Philosophy. His main areas of interest are environmental philosophy and the ethics of war and peace. He regularly teaches Environmental Ethics, Environmental Justice, Ethics of War and Peace, and Philosophy of Natural Science. He is currently completing the book, Rethinking Wilderness, (Broadview Press) and several articles on the environmental ethics of war and peace.
