Rhonda Ficek completes Quality Matters certification

Rhonda Ficek, Instructional Technology, has completed the Quality Matters “Rubric and Peer  Reviewer Certification” for online courses. She is now a QM-certified  peer reviewer and can formally review the design of online courses  within our institution as well as at other institutions.

The Quality Matters Program is nationally recognized as a continuous  improvement model for assuring the quality of online courses. It uses a  faculty review process which is based on national standards of best practice and instructional design principles. The rubric is divided  into 8 areas, with a total of 40 standards, 17 of which are considered  essential for a quality online course.
