MSUM’s Livingston Lord Library celebrates 50 years Oct. 17
Join students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community at a free public event during MSUM’s 2010 Homecoming Sunday, October 17 from 1-3 p.m. as the Library and the Alumni Foundation host a celebration of 50 years of the Livingston Lord Library building. The event will include presentations on each decade in the Library’s history, including technological changes, trends, and historical notes.
You’ll find out the answer to questions such as: When was the card catalog removed? How were books checked out before computers? What did the Library look like before the top two floors were added? The event will run from 1-3 p.m. with a program at 1:30 pm. Tours of the Library building will be available after the program. Refreshments will be served.
