Livingston Lord Library At 50 Years: Reunion and Celebration Oct. 17
As part of MSUM’s Homecoming Celebration Weekend, an exciting event is being planned—Livingston Lord Library At 50 Years: Reunion and Celebration—celebrating 50 years of the Library building.
This event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010, with a program at 1:30 p.m. on the first floor of the library at MSUM.
The reunion and celebration’s program will feature a look back at the decades 1960s-2000s, photographs, tours of the building, and refreshments. Plus, there will be a chance to visit with colleagues, friends, and students from the past. We will also present information about the plans for the renovation of Livingston Lord Library.
We hope that many current and former students, faculty, staff, and community members will join in this celebration of the role of Livingston Lord Library, and in continuing to make the library the intellectual heart of the campus. For retirees and alumni, we hope that the Library was an important part of their experience at MSUM. They may remember… using the card catalog, conducting research without the Internet, perusing the book stacks, meeting friends to study and “people watch,” and much more.
