Krauka meets Keith Bear Sept. 28
The MSUM Multicultural Affairs Office (MAO) would like to invite you to a never before seen event that will take place on Tuesday, September 28 at 8 p.m. in the CMU Underground. Krauka meets Keith Bear will inspire, educate and most importantly connect members of the audience with shards of their identity that have for so long deemed lost. This event is free.
Krauka is a multicultural group whose members hail from Iceland, Norway, Sweden or Denmark. They have embarked on an artistic journey in order to educate the world of true Scandinavian culture. They provide us with a cultural ferry through the ages so we can behold an authentic, sensitive and profound Viking culture to who so many of us are parented to. On the other side, Keith Bear provides a Native American outlook.
Through music, the use of narration, the unveiling of myths that despite the barriers of time and distance remain similar, Krauka and Keith Bear remind us that humanity is truly linked. While it allows the different segments of our population to contemplate each other and ponder upon their resemblances, it goes a step further. It bestows a sense of culture origin to those who have always felt void of any, giving them clear lens over the celebration of identity that other cultures a more vocal approach.
We encourage you to attend this event, as MSU Moorhead provides a caring and engaging atmosphere where diversity, history and personal growth are valued.
