The Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County at the Hjemkomst Center will hold the 2010 Annual Meeting Dinner on Thursday, March 11, 2010. The agenda will be as follows: refreshments and a walk through the Flaten-Wange exhibit at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and program at 7:30 p.m. In addition to electing new members to the board, guests can enjoy a local-foods dinner and small silent auction of locally-made-goods baskets. The MSUM Economics Society and Soroptimist International of Moorhead are sponsoring a cell phone drive for the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center. The Center is able to re-program cell phones for access to 911. This free program gives women leaving an abusive situtation continuous access to the police. Please donate your used cell phone to help women in need! A drop box is located in the Economics Department office, MA 380.
These webinars appear to be free (sponsored by Center for Teaching and Learning) and viewable on your office computer. Looks like registration closes on February 8th for the Feb. 9th presentation and Feb. 11th for the Feb. 12th presentation. Next Tuesday and Friday CTL is sponsoring two webinars in collaboration with Minnesota Campus Compact. The topics are service learning in online courses and civic engagement through technology. Dragon Alumni and Friends Basketball Night is Friday, Feb. 12. Everyone
wearing RED or a Go Pink T-shirt will be admitted for $1. Children 12 and under are free. There will be door prizes, and free Dragon cookies and tattoos. Join other Dragon alumni and cheer on the Dragons!
