Study tour offered May 17-June 1

Join English Professors Alan Davis and Thom Tammaro, May 17-June 1, 2010, on a study tour of some of the most fascinating scenic, cultural, literary, and historic sites and cities in England, including London; Stonehenge; the Cotswolds; Bath; Chawton House (Jane Austen’s home and estate); Stratford-upon-Avon; York; the Lake District (Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage, Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top); Liverpool (home of The Beatles); Hay-on-Wye, Wales, ( Guardian Literary Festival); and Oxford.

The study tour includes a well-balanced mix of professionally guided tours, lectures, small-group activities, and free time to pursue individual interests.

The study tour is open to students, faculty, staff, and the general public, but the tour is limited to 24 participants. Credits can be earned at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Application deadline is December 18.
