Massed Choirs Sing Sunday

Three choirs featuring more than 125 MSUM students will perform choral music in several languages from a variety of musical periods and cultures. The concert takes place Sunday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at Our Redeemer Church in Moorhead. The choirs, accompanied by a variety of instruments, piano and organ, will be led by Dr. Rod Rothlisberger, Dr. Jenny Dufault and Michael Siggerud, all members of the MSUM music faculty. MSUM talk features global health issues and disparities

Gina Aalgaard Kelly, an assistant professor in MSUM’s School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership, will give a talk on “Global Health Issues and Disparities” Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in the university’s Science Lab building room 104. Topics will include global partnerships that promote health for all citizens, a description of socio-cultural, political and economic determinants of health, disparities and health status, and human development and health systems in developing and industrial countries. Franken visits campus Nov. 12

Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., will be on campus Thursday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. in Owens Hall 201 to hold a roundtable on making college more affordable. Franken is touring college campuses to hear from students about the challenges they face in paying college costs.
