International Education Week Nov. 16-20
A variety of events are taking place during International Education Week: talks about the countries of Nigeria, Nepal, Haiti, Congo and others, as well as world religions; food from around the world; passport drive; various forms of dance; and much more.
Monday, November 16
Noon-1 p.m. Visit Nigeria, CMU 207. Lydia Gana will present on her country of Nigeria, “Nigeria, The Most Populated and Diverse Nation in Africa”
4:30-5:30 p.m. Belly Dancing. Join Zuleykha at the Wellness Center for an introduction to Belly Dancing; sign up required, limited spots
6:30-7:15 p.m. African Dance. Join Nadia at the Wellness Center for an introduction to the African Dance; sign up required, limited spots
Tuesday, November 17
11 a.m.-Noon. Visit Nepal, CMU 207. Samita Pannachan & Binamrata Bhandari and group will present on their country Nepal.
11 a.m.-1 p.m. Passport Drive, Flora Frick Lounge. Bring your filled in passport application with 2 photos (can be taken in the Office of International Programs, $5), certified birth certificate, driver’s license or other form of picture ID and $100. Total cost of $105.

Wednesday, November 18
10-11 a.m. Student Teaching Abroad, CMU 227, Lynn Mahlum. Come hear all about the process and what it takes to student teach abroad. We will have students tell their stories about their experience student teaching abroad and how it has impacted their lives.

Monday – Wednesday Traditional Wear Contest: Students stop by the Office of International Programs wearing your traditional clothing and get your picture taken for our bulletin board. We will have a contest on the best dressed with a prize awarded on Friday afternoon.
