MSUM’s Combined Charities Campaign ends soon!

The annual Minnesota State Employee’s Combined Charities Campaign runs through Saturday, October 31. If you have misplaced or have not yet received an information packet and pledge form, please contact Deb Lewis (2158) in Human Resources. MSUM’s goal is $63,000. To date, MSUM employee pledges total $29,958.00- 47.5% of this year’s goal! This year’s motto is: STATE EMPLOYEES CARING FOR MINNESOTA…YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Click the headline to read more.

Glasrud Lecture and Reading features Nick Flynn

Nick Flynn, author of Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, will be presenting at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 in ballroom section 200C in the Comstock Memorial Union. Flynn’s memoir won the PEN/Martha Albrand Award, was short-listed for France’s Prix Femina, and has been translated into 13 languages. Click the headline to read more.

Presenters needed for Expanding Your Horizons Conference

Every year, MSUM participates with NDSU in the Expanding Your Horizons Conference for 7th-9th grade girls. This year’s conference is on Saturday, April 10th, 2010, and we are looking for volunteers to present workshops for this wonderful cause! Would you be willing to donate your time to provide workshop participants with an interactive, hands-on look at a career in your field? Even if your career doesn’t directly involve math and science, you probably needed those courses to pursue your own career path. Click the headline to read more.
