MSUM Receives $10,000 Dakota Medical FoundationGrant
MSU Moorhead has received a $10,000 grant from Dakota Medical Foundation to support specialized training from the Impact Institute. This grant supported three faculty/staff members to attend a training series hosted by the Impact Give-Back Institute in association with Dakota Medical Foundation.
MSUM attendees included President Emeritus Dr. Roland Barden, Bioscience Professor Mark Wallert, and Director of Major & Corporate Gifts Laurie Wigtil.
The Impact Give-Back Institute helps nonprofits dramatically improve their capacity to produce results. The Institute has helped over 100 nonprofit organizations increase their impact since early 2005 by providing training and technical assistance in the areas of organizational effectiveness, strategic planning and fundraising.
MSUM is a comprehensive regional university enrolling approximately 7,480 students and offering 69 majors, 95 emphases, 16 pre-professional programs and 31 areas of teacher licensure preparation. MSUM is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo, N.D., focuses its efforts on improving health and access to medical and dental care in the region, with a special emphasis on children.
