Free Movies April 29 & 30
The History Club and Women’s Center are sponsoring two free movie nights. Everyone is invited to attend.
April 29 • 7-9 p.m. • King Hall 110
“La Historia Ofical” will be presented by Dr. Nathan Clarke from the History Department. “La Historia Ofical” is an Argentine drama about a couple in Buenos Aires with an adopted child. The mother comes to realize that her daughter may be the child of a desaparecido, that is, a victim of the disappearances that occurred during Argentina’s Dirty War in the 1970s.
April 30 • 7-9 p.m. • King Hall 110
“Iron Jawed Angels” will be presented by Dr. Annette Morrow from the History Department and Anita Bender from the Women’s Center. This 2004 HBO film is about defiant young activists who take the women’s suffrage movement by storm, putting their lives at risk to help American women win the right to vote.
