Contents of 1915 MSUM time capsule help ‘fill in a few gaps’

A 95-year-old time capsule opened Tuesday provides a link to a part of Minnesota State University Moorhead’s past that was destroyed in a 1930 fire. University archivist Terry Shoptaugh said there was no record of the time capsule in Weld Hall, likely because President Frank Weld’s papers were destroyed in the fire of Old Main. Shoptaugh opened it Tuesday in front of about 200 people and found well-preserved photographs, course catalogs, a diploma and other documents from 1915 and earlier. Click headline to read more.
