The Rourke Art Museum is presenting “My Father’s World,” an exhibit of the original prints of Kansas Swedish-American landscape artist Birger Sandzén. The exhibit of works is from the collection of Dr. James M. Kaplan, Professor Emeritus of French at MSUM, and is under the high patronage of his Excellency Jonas Hafström, Royal Ambassador of Sweden to the United States.
Dr. James M. Kaplan, professor emeritus at MSUM, has published a book about Birger Sandzén, a Swedish immigrant artist who came to America in 1894.
