Trumpeter Marvin Stamm performs with the MSUM jazz ensemble Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Hansen Theatre in the Roland Dille Center for the Performing Arts on the MSUM campus. A second appearance is set for Friday, April 23, at 8 p.m. at downtown Fargo’s Studio 222, where he’ll join the Simon Rowe Trio. The Simon Rowe Trio and the Simon Rowe Organ Trio will be performing Fridays at 8 p.m. at Studio 222 Broadway, a downtown Fargo jazz venue. Cover charge is $10, $5 for students. Greg Abate, jazz saxophonist, flutist, and composer, will conduct a masterclass and clinics when he visits MSUM Thursday and Friday, March 4-5. He will present a music business clinic at 3 p.m. Thursday; a jazz and saxophone clinic at 9:30 a.m. Friday; and a convocation and master-class at 3 p.m. Friday, all in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Fox Recital Hall. These events are free and open to the public. At 8 p.m. Friday he will perform with The Simon Rowe Trio at Studio 222 at 222 Broadway, Fargo.
