Rinita Dalan, Anthropology and Earth Science, and majors Rebecca Wallace, Geoarchaeology, and Chelsey Quiring, Archaeology, presented an exhibit on human evolution at an outreach event at the Fargo Public Library. The event, called “Darwin’s Cabinet of Curiosities,” held in the community room at the main library on February 15, was sponsored by the North Dakota Association of Women Geoscientists.
Boyd Bradbury, Interim Dean of Education and Human Services and Graduate Studies, presented at the Ethnographic and Qualitative Research Conference in Las Vegas earlier this week. Bradbury’s presentation was entitled, “An Autoethnographical Account of a Midwesterner’s Travels in Racist Post-Apartheid South Africa.”
Diane Wolter, Career Development Center, presented “Emerging Adults Theory and Identity Development” at the NACADA national conference in Salt Lake City. The presentation compared prevailing student development theories with the more recently introduced Emerging Adults model, and examined how student affairs professionals use college student theory in guiding identity development.
