Relay For Life of Moorhead Colleges

Join Moorhead Colleges Against Cancer to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers and raise money to make a global impact on cancer. Relay For Life of Moorhead Colleges will take place April 22 at Olson Forum, Concordia College from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. There will be fundraising, games, food, entertainment and more! MSUM Colleges Against Cancer looking for Relay for Life teams

Calling all MSUM groups and organizations: MSUM Colleges Against Cancer is looking for groups of people interested in creating a team for Relay For Life of Moorhead Colleges. Each team sets up a booth at the event and fundraises for the American Cancer Society by collecting donations for food, goods, games and/or activities. And he’s not alone when it comes to jumping on the competitive gaming bandwagon. The steady symphony of a keyboard clicking as constant as Brandon Qual’s heartbeat. How fitting, given Qual’s lifeblood: Gaming.”

Photographer earns award for saving kittens from Grandin fire, InForum: “Photographer Carlos Pacheco has earned a Compassionate Action Award from PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.”

Dragons ‘Battle for the Axe’ against Bemidji State, InForum: “Minnesota State Moorhead will compete for one of the oldest rivalry trophies in NCAA Division II this weekend. The Dragons play at Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference football foe Bemidji State at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Battle for the Axe.”

Dragons reclaim the axe from Bemidji after missed extra point, WDAZ: “The MSU Moorhead football team had a chance to guarantee themselves a winning season by reclaiming the axe against Bemidji on Saturday.”

Missed extra-point kick helps Dragons win at Bemidji State, InForum: “Bemidji State missed an extra-point kick with 39 seconds remaining and Minnesota State Moorhead hung on for a 42-41 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory Saturday, Nov. 5.”

No Shave November Contest

MSUM Colleges Against Cancer is hosting a No Shave November Contest. Winner will receive a $20 gift card to the MSUM Bookstore. Both men and women are welcome to participate. Come sign up Thursday, Nov. 3 from 12-2 p.m. in the CMU across from the C-Store.
