The Moorhead School District will honor a 1945 Moorhead State Teachers College alumna and educator by naming one of its newest schools after her. The district’s newest kindergarten through fourth-grade school will be Dorothy Dodds Elementary.
Steve Grineski, STL, recently authored “We were pretty darn good” : A history of rural education in America. The book was published by the History Publishing Company in Palisades, N.Y., and features a case study of the Moorhead State Teachers College nationally-recognized Department of Rural Education.

This two-volume history, written by Clarence [Soc] Glasrud, MSTC alum and Emeritus Professor of English of MSU, tells the history of MSUM from its beginnings through 1957.
