Final treasurer meetings this week
The final two student organization treasurer meetings will be held Wednesday, September 28 at 5:00pm in CMU 227 and Tuesday, October 4th, 5:00pm in CMU 205. If your organization treasurer has not attended one of the previous two meetings they are required to attend one of these final two meetings.
Steve Lindaas attended AAPT meeting
Steve Lindaas, Physics and Astronomy, attended the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) summer meeting July 30-Aug. 3 in Omaha, Neb. He presented the workshop “Pre-College Labs: Student Centered Lab Progression for Vertical Alignment”, which received very good reviews by the participants. Psychology faculty, students present at vision meeting
Elizabeth Nawrot, Psychology, with co-authors Mark Nawrot (NDSU Psychology), and MSUM students Jennifer Livingood and Jennifer Wenner, had the following presentation at the Vision Sciences Society Meeting in Naples, Fla.: “Depth from motion parallax: The role of smooth pursuit and ocular following response eye movements.”
Weight Watchers at Work starts again March 29
The next Weight Watchers at Work session starts Tuesday, March 29 at 4:45 p.m. at the Hendrix Health Center conference room. Did you know? MSUM has had a WW group for 3 years. At least 7 of those members have reach lifetime weight? A couple of members have lost over 50 pounds? We inspire and encourage each other weekly.
