Join the Red River Watercolor Society (RRWS) as they celebrate their 17th annual National Juried Watermedia Exhibition beginning Tuesday, April 20 through Saturday, June 19, 2010. An opening reception will be held at the Hjemkomst Center on Tuesday, April 20, with the Juror’s Presentation beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a reception from 7-8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public this night only. The Clay County Historical Society and the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center are now officially merged to become the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County with a mission to preserve, interpret and celebrate the history and culture of Clay County and the region. An open house to celebrate this merger of two well established organizations has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. with a chamber ribbon cutting to take place at 4 p.m. It’s free and open to the public.
