Fulbright opportunities topic of Nov. 17 seminar

Faculty are invited to a brown-bag seminar/panel discussion on Fulbright opportunities at noon Thursday, Nov. 17 in CMU 203. Presenters include Yahya Fredercikson, Jane Giedt and Al Davis. They’ll discuss their experiences and answer questions. Contact Janet Haak in the Office of Study Abroad with any questions (haak@mnstate.edu). This event is part of International Education Week.

Sean Taylor named Fulbright Scholar

History professor Sean Taylor, Fergus Falls, Minn., heads for Norway in August to study and teach for 10 months as a Fulbright scholar. The award covers all expenses and provides a stipend. Communication Studies alum receives Fulbright Assistantship

Leigh Wilson-Mattson, a 2009 Communication Studies graduate, has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship for the coming year. She departed for Malaysia Dec. 31, 2010 and will work for 10 months in the East Asian country.
