MSUM alum, Moorhead educator named Teacher of the Year

Moorhead teacher Ronda Buysse has an unusual gig. She works with the district’s youngest pupils, usually ages 3 or 4. Those are also the youngsters poised to face some of the steepest hurdles in their school careers, and it’s Buysse’s job to give them an early momentum. Buysse, Moorhead’s latest Teacher of the Year, is a veteran of Moorhead’s Early Intervention Services, the district’s team fulfilling a state mandate to educate children with disabilities starting at birth. College students raise money for Haiti earthquake relief

Area college students are doing their part to help the people of Haiti. Students at Minnesota State University Moorhead formed a new group called Dragons for Haiti, which aims to raise $10,000. All money raised will benefit ShelterBox, an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency supply boxes to crisis areas. Read Amy Dalrymple’s full article at
