Donuts and dogs with Delta Zeta

Delta Zeta is putting on a pretty sweet event! Donuts will be sold in the MSUM campus mall on Friday, Sept. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be lots of puppies around to pet and play with as well! All of the proceeds will go to 4 Luv of Dog Rescue in Fargo. So grab a friend and come on over, we will be very happy to see you!

The Ladies of Delta Zeta and Gamma Phi Beta are hosting a 48-Hour Philanthropy to raise funds in support of Camp Grassick in Dawson, N.D.

The camp is “owned and operated by the Elks of North Dakota in the service of children and adults with various disabilities and special needs, six different camping sessions during the summer focus on different needs – therapy for children between the ages of 7-15, social interaction with peers, adults with disabilites and the blind and visually impaired” Read the rest of this entry →

Greeks to the rescue

Join MSUM’s Panhellenic Council to raise awareness and support for the FM Humane Society. Members of Delta Zeta and Gamma Phi Beta are hosting their 48-hour philanthropy from noon on Oct. 9 through noon on Oct. 11. Members of the sororities will be on the campus for day and night to help homeless pets. They are also sponsoring a PAW walk from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 9. Bring your pet to campus and join other faculty and staff on a walk around the campus mall. The FM Humane Society will be on hand to answer questions, discuss fostering pets and more.

MSUM’s Dragon Entertainment Group and Delta Zeta will host Mr. and Ms. MSUM 2011. Ten nominated students will compete on Wednesday, Nov. 9 in the CMU Underground for a chance to be Mr. and Ms. MSUM 2011.

Panhellenic Council bounces for charity

MSUM Panhellenic Council is holding their annual 48-hour philanthropy starting Monday, Oct. 3 at noon through Wednesday, Oct. 5 at noon. Come visit the women of Gamma Phi Beta and Delta Zeta sororities as they jump for 48 hours in a bounce house on campus. All donations are given to the Fargo-Moorhead Emergency Food Shelf.

Proceeds to raise money for The Painted Turtle Camp
The MSUM Theta Nu Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority is hosting an all-you-can-eat benefit breakfast-dinner of pancakes, sausage eggs and fruit juice, Thursday, April 14 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The benefit will raise money for The Painted Turtle Camp, which is part of the late actor Paul Newman’s Association of Hole in the Wall Camps. This aforementioned camp is considered by many to be the finest multi-disease children’s medical camps and family care centers in the world.

The Painted Turtle Camp is an organization that is a safe and secure haven for children suffering from chronic, potentially life-threatening, and terminal illnesses and receives donations each year from the sorority’s many nationwide chapters. Read the rest of this entry →

The Student Organization Advisory Committee is pleased to present Mikayla Daub with the March Student Organization Leader of the Month Award. She was nominated for her commitment and efforts toward Dragons Entertainment. Mikayla is an inspirational leader who has gained the confidence of her fellow members. Besides being the Advertising Coordinator, she is involved in numerous other roles. She is positive role model who takes pride in her work and is very artistic at what she does. Camping for a Cause

For the next 48 hours the women of Gamma Phi Beta and Delta Zeta are Camping for a Cause. Stop by their campsite on the campus mall, in front of the Library, and help them raise money for the homeless. The ladies will be camping now through 10 a.m. Thursday. Please stop by and support this worthy cause.
