April 2-13 Give a child a story by participating in a book drive! Donate new or lightly used books for ages 0-12. All books will be given to the children of Churches United. The book drop-off locations are the second floor Lommen Hall, Alumni Office, the CMU, and MacLean Hall.
Springing from work done in Steve Grineski’s Ed. 310 class, art education major Marissa Van Vleet continued her social justice work by volunteering at Churches United for the Homeless on Saturday mornings running an art club for children. Van Vleet’s advisor Brad Bachmeier hopes to turn this into a sustainable program in the future. Read more in The Forum article.
