‘Incredible courage’: 18-year-old heroine rescues man from Red River

An 18-year-old college student with average swimming skills and no water-rescue training jumped into the cold Red River this afternoon to try to save a man from drowning. Music student places 2nd in MN competition

Congratulations to Erin Berns who took second place in the Senior Men’s Division at the Minnesota National Association of Teachers of Singing (MN-NATS) vocal competition. Annually, voice teachers from all Minnesota state and private schools enter their top students in this event. Erin qualified to sing in the final concert and was given a cash award for his accomplishment. He is a music education major and a vocal student of Dr. Jenny Dufault.
