Meehl awarded $10,000 PCAOB scholarship

Senior Bryce Meehl, accounting major, has received a $10,000 Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) scholarship. Meehl was nominated for the prestigious PCAOB scholarship by his academic advisor, Kim Mollberg. Hansen among researchers hosted by the USDA Economic Research Service 

Dr. T. J. Hansen, Department of Economics, Law & Politics, attended the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association Conference in Washington, D.C. August 5-8, 2018. In conjunction with the conference, she participated in the workshop, “Making the Most of Federal Data: Combining Data for Economic Analysis,” hosted by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service.

Holtan wins two national awards from National Federation of Presswomen

Merrie Sue Holtan, School of Communication and Journalism, won two national awards from the National Federation of Presswomen. Holtan placed first in sports writing and third in the home category. She received the award at the fall convention in Bethlehem, PA. In August, Holtan also taught a personal writing workshop for “Tribe Porty,” Portobello Beach, Edinburgh, Scotland.

Minnesota State Awards Grants for Educational Innovation
