Women’s rugby traveled to Rochester, MN this past weekend to the Minnesota Final Four Rugby tournament. Beating Wisconsin River Falls 72-7 and handing the loss to a previously undefeated Gustavus squad 63-5 for the Minnesota championship for the 3rd year in a row and advance to the Midwest regional playoffs in Nebraska.
Clint Bueling has been named the Assistant Director of the Academic Support Center. Along with his current duties, Clint will be taking on more of a role with Mapworks and staff supervision.
Chris Chastain, Biosciences, was awarded a 2-year $148,600 research grant from the USDA-National Institute of Food and Agriculture. The grant, entitled “Role of pyruvate phosphate dikinase regulatory protein isoform-2 in Zea mays C4 photosynthesis”, will fund Dr. Chastain’s ongoing research into C4 photosynthesis.
