Dr. Wooyang Kim had book chapter published

With his adviser Dr. Donald A. Hantula (Psychology Department, Temple University), Dr. Wooyang Kim, Paseka School of Business, recently had a book chapter, entitled “Consumer as Inforagers”, in The Routledge Companion to Consumer Behavior Analysis (Edited by Gordon R. Foxall).   This article introduces a new perspective through integrating behavioral ecology and marketing theories.   The theory provides a philosophical foundation of consumer behavior analysis applying an analogy of animal behavior, as known as “foraging behavior,” especially in the information acquisition.   This integrative theory between evolutionary and non-evolutionary frameworks suggests a holistic information structure and provides some evidence that this theoretical integration helps identify the phenomena of information overload through ecological information foraging.
