Highlights of the meeting included recitals performed by national competition winners, a solo recital of the music of Beethoven performed by Emanuel Ax, and sessions and masterclasses given by world renowned pianist and pedagogue Seymour Bernstein.

On April 8, 2016 students from the College of Education and Human Services participated in a global human rights day trip to Winnipeg, Canada. The centerpiece of the tour was a visit to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, a world-class structure dedicated to the understanding of human rights and the promotion of respect for others.
