The MSUM Early Education Center received their renewed MN Parent Aware rating last week. As part of a volunteer quality rating system (Parent Aware) they were rated a 4-Star (highest possible) Center in Minnesota. Dr. Michael J. Krajewski (Music Industry and Guitar) recently presented a music technology presentation at the Jazz Education Network conference in New Orleans, LA. His presentation “Moving on up: Upgrading from GarageBand to a professional Digital Audio Workstation” was received with rave reviews.
President Anne Blackhurst, along with Joyce Ester, president of Normandale Community College; Connie Gores, president of Southwest Minnesota State University; and Barbara McDonald, president of North Hennepin Community College, wrote a commentary featured in The Chronicle of Higher Education. The commentary is titled, “The Benefits of Gender Balance in a System’s Presidential Offices.”
Dr. Atif Osmani (faculty in the College of Business & Innovation) had an article (Title: Multi-period stochastic optimization of a sustainable multi-feedstock second generation bioethanol supply chain – A logistic case study in Midwestern United States) accepted for publication in the February 2017 issue of the journal Land Use Policy (LUP) by Elsevier Publications.
