The North Dakota Council on the Arts (NDCA) is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Brad Bachmeier as Vice Chairman of its Board. Bachmeier has been serving on NDCA’s board of directors since August 2013.
Digi-Key Corporation hosted their Collegiate Computing Competition for 22 student teams from Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota universities. The problem solving and computer programming skills of these students were rigorously tested over several hours. Our team of Priyanka Aryal, Annika Greaney, Mariah Kinneberg, and Suman Koirala took third place and won $1,000 for the CSIS department.
Dr. Chang-Seong Hong, Philosophy, translated a Korean-language Buddhist philosophy of history book to English with Dr. Sun Kyeong Yu (Philosophy) of MSU Mankato. Shantel Jagol, a senior in Paralegal, was selected as the Paralegal Community Service Achievement Scholarship Award winner by the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE). The scholarship for $1,000 was awarded based upon substantial demonstrated participation in community service efforts while pursuing a Paralegal degree. This award was announced at the AAfPE National Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico in October.
