Film Studies student Jessica Hegland won a Special Jury Award at the 2015 Headwaters Film Festival. The award was in the category of “Authentic Voice,” and was bestowed on Hegland for her direction of the film Manxiety. Headwaters is a student-run film festival at Bemidji State University.
Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP) Advocacy Week was held February 23-27. During that week, three Counseling & Student Affairs graduate students, Mitch Primus, Andreana Pettersen and Garrett Anderson submitted a video, “Five Reasons to Apply” that took 5th place for the 2015 Video Contest.
