Soroptimist International of Moorhead is pleased to announce three winners for its Live Your Dream contest this year. The Moorhead club presented each woman with a $1,000 award.
Seven students receive awards at the 2016 AAF-ND ceremony Brittany Kelley, Freelance Writer Seven students received Addy awards at the Feb. 26 American Advertising Federation of North Dakota (AAF-ND) Awards Ceremony. AAF-ND not only provides members with professional development and networking opportunities, but has recognizes creativity and excellence among the advertising and marketing fields. Gerontology students Amy Bechtle, Jessica Boonstra, Merianne Bott, Ana Brakel, Beau Cummings, Mayu Ishikawa, and Keren Mabisi, along with Gerontology Program Coordinator Sue Humphers-Ginther and Professors Shawn Ginther (Social Work) and Jessica Hausauer (Sociology), attended the 40th annual meeting of the Minnesota Gerontological Society in Brooklyn Center, Minn., on April 22, 2016.
Hayley Hilfer, a Sustainability major with emphases in both Environmental Science and Environmental Policy, was one of 130 applicants selected for a summer research fellowship at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey in their Dynamic Urban Environmental Systems and Sustainability Program.
