Holtan Wins National Awards from National Federation of Presswomen
Merrie Sue Holtan, communication and journalism, won two national writing awards from the National Federation of Presswomen. She placed first in sports writing and received honorable mention in home writing. The awards were presented at the national conference in Wichita, Kan.
Dr. Carney Presents on Social Work Practice Ethics at the Minnesota Social Service Association Fall Conference
Dr. Jeremy Carney, from the MSUM School of Social Work, presented an ethics training on September 15, 2016 for the Minnesota Social Service Association as part of their Northwest conference. The presentation focuses on ethical relationships for helping professionals with a special emphasis on the challenges of social media use.
