Saturday, January 30th, MSUM Planetarium partnered with Prairie Public to present Stars of PBS, the second event of its kind. Prairie Public was on hand with Clifford the Big Red Dog, activities and resources for the 500+ parents and children. Last week, Student Senate reviewed Student Technology Fee requests and approved the funding request for Planetarium Upgrades in the amount of $58,000.00. These hardware upgrades include a new, higher resolution fulldome projector, CPU update and upgrade, as well as the necessary equipment to make team-building through cooperative gaming in the planetarium, particularly the Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, a permanent fixture.

Nearly 120 Horizon Middle School AVID Students will be touring MSUM campus on Thursday, January 14. After being welcomed by Admissions, the students will get to participate in activities all around campus, including a round-robin tour of 5 arts activities (e.g. drum circle, caricatures, improv, etc), DNA extraction from strawberries, a Q&A with college students and faculty panels and planetarium shows.
