Historical & Cultural Society Annual Meeting March 11

The Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County at the Hjemkomst Center will hold the 2010 Annual Meeting Dinner on Thursday, March 11, 2010. The agenda will be as follows: refreshments and a walk through the Flaten-Wange exhibit at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and program at 7:30 p.m. In addition to electing new members to the board, guests can enjoy a local-foods dinner and small silent auction of locally-made-goods baskets. MSU Moorhead hosts visit days Feb. 15 & 20

Minnesota State University Moorhead will host a Preview Day for students interested in attending MSUM Monday, Feb. 15 in the Comstock Memorial Union. The session begins at 8:30 a.m. with check in starting one half hour prior. Interested students can tour campus, meet with students, faculty and campus representatives, learn about academic majors and student services, and have refreshments in the student union. An abbreviated afternoon Preview Day option is also available, with check in beginning at noon. Click headline for more information.

Legacy Film Festival Feb. 6

The Legacy Film Festival is a film festival for students, run by students. It aims to honor the lives and careers of Rusty Casselton and Ted Larson, two MSUM film professors who dedicated their lives to film students. The film festival will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in MSUM’s Weld Hall Glasrud Auditorium. The Legacy Film Festival is the brainchild of a group of senior film students. Dragon Frost One-Ton Sundae February 9 in the Union

Come and enjoy FREE ice cream Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 10:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. in the Comstock Memorial Union main lounge. One-Ton Sundae, one of many Dragon Frost activities, is sponsored by Comstock Memorial Union, Sodexo and Cass Clay Creamery. This event is free and open to MSUM students, staff and faculty. We will serve a variety of delicious ice creams and toppings to tantalize your taste buds.
