Celebrate Earth Day April 22

MSUM’s fifth annual Earth Day Celebration is Thursday, April 22 from 1-5 p.m. on the campus mall. There will be local vendors, informational tables, food, music and much more! Music will be provided by Werewolf Barmitsvah; Classical Chill; Inside Out Strings; and O’FOSHO. Take a break, enjoy the nice weather, and come support Earth Day! The Year of Magical Thinking April 22

The English Department, McGrath Visiting Writers Series and the Film Studies Department announce a special performance of Joan Didion’s play—adapted from her memoir—The Year of Magical Thinking, presented by Theatre B and featuring Mary Cochran, Thursday, April 22 from 4:30-6 p.m. in Weld Hall Auditorium. Minnesota Opera tickets, jewelry, car washes, artwork, handmade baby blankets, recording studio time and much more! On April 19 and 20, from noon to 4 p.m., you can bid on these items, displayed in the lobby of the Roland Dille Center for the Arts. Register for a bid number at the Box Office. Proceeds go to the Music Department Scholarship Fund. Lavender reception April 18

A Lavender reception recognizing all local LGBTQ college students and their campus Allies and Advocates will be held Sunday, April 18 at 6 p.m. at the ECCE Gallery, 216 Broadway, Fargo. Those LGBTQ graduate and undergraduate students completing their college careers will be honored as Lavender Graduates at the reception, but all LGBTQ students and allies are welcome. This is a quad college event (NDSU, Concordia, and MCTC will also participate.)
