The MSUM School of Performing Arts will present a Scholarship Convocation this Friday, May 1 at 3 p.m. in Fox Recital Hall in the Center for the Arts. The Convocation will feature a variety of Music Scholarship winners for the 2015-16 school term from across multiple areas performing for those in attendance. Admission is free.
MSUM’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Allen Carter, and MSUM’s VoCombo, directed by Dr. Michael Krajewski, perform Saturday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Glasrud Auditorium in Weld Hall. Special guest performers are Dr. Tom Strait on flugelhorn and trumpet, and Dr. Monte Grise on saxophone. For tickets, go to www.mnstate.edu/tickets. MSUM students get in free.
