Notice of annual public meeting for MSUM’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program

MSUM will hold a public meeting to comply with the annual reporting requirements of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency General Stormwater Permit for Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) Thursday, May 27 at 8 a.m. in the Physical Plant’s Conference Room (MB102). The current year’s progress regarding implementation of the best management practices will be reviewed along with discussion of the 2009 activities. Heating and cooling changes will translate to significant energy savings

The MSUM HVAC Department is implementing a new program in the campus building automation system to help cut back on energy costs. Based on the previous fiscal year, the average monthly electric demand charge from Moorhead Public Service is $58,000 and the average electric charge is $50,700. The new heating and cooling changes are being implemented to reduce the demand charge by five percent. Click headline for more information.
