Recent death

Elmer Jacob Fiechtner passed away October 30, 2009, at his home in Moorhead, at 80 years of age. Elmer worked for MSUM as a General Maintenance Worker for 25 years, until his retirement in 1994. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 4 at 11 a.m., in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Korsmo Funeral Home, Moorhead, handled the arrangements.

Australian higher education seminar deadline Nov. 16

The application deadline for the Australian Higher Education Seminar is Nov. 16 2009. Australian Education International North America (AEI NA) – the overseas arm of the Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations – is running a Higher Education Seminar from March 1-13 2010. This will be the fifth seminar run by AEI NA in Australia. In 2010, we will visit institutions in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales. Click the headline to learn more.

Passport drive scheduled

International Programs, in conjunction with the Moorhead Post Office, is once again sponsoring a passport drive on campus, Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. in Flora Frick lounge. Photos may be taken in the OIP on the day for a special price of $5. For further information, contact OIP at 2956 or stop by FR153. Forms are available at travel.state.gov. This activity is part of MSUM’s annual International Education Week celebration.
