Photo Guild annual portrait fundraiser Nov. 10-12

The MSUM Photo Guild is sponsoring their annual holiday portrait fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 10, 11 and 12. It’s a great time to get your Christmas pictures taken! The photo studio is located at 308 King Hall on the MSUM campus. The $20 sitting fee includes images on a disc. Props are welcome. Parking is available in front of King Hall after 4:30 p.m. Questions should be addressed to Tony Anderson, Photo Guild President, anderant@mnstate.edu

Bachmeier exhibits at Rourke Art Museum

Brad Bachmeier, Art & Design, will have his ninth solo ceramic sculpture and pottery exhibit at the Rourke Art Museum opening this weekend. The show is titled “Ceramic Evolution” and it reflects the growth of Brad’s work as he investigates the power of the element of scale. The exhibition will be open to the public starting with a gallery talk at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 8. The show runs through March 28, 2010. A preview of this exhibition will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6.

Women’s Studies Conference Friday

The Women’s Studies program hosts the 9th Annual Red River Women’s Studies Conference on Friday, November 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the CMU. Lavender reception Dec. 2

Last semester MSUM, NDSU, MSCTC, and Concordia co-sponsored a Lavender Reception for graduating gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transexual, queer, and questioning students. Do you know any students that would be interested in attending an intimate gathering to honor their accomplishment? Dec 2 has been chosen as the date for this celebration.
