Linda Bormann, mother of Tony Bormann, MSUM Public Service Specialist of the Regional Buffalo River Science Center, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 18 from 12:00-7:00 p.m., with a public prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at the Zahrbock Funeral Chapel in Madison, MN. The family is having a private funeral at a later date.
Members of the Legislative Commission on Planning and Fiscal Policy’s Balanced Budget Subcommittee received an update this week from Minnesota Management and Budget, or MMB, about the state’s cash situation. MMB Budget Deputy Commissioner Jim Schowalter told committee members that Minnesota will not have to borrow money to pay its bills this spring, but cash flow shortfalls are still a possibility for later this year. Schowalter said fiscal year 2011 has deep cash problems right now. Click headline for more information.
There’s just one day left before the biggest event of the year for the Dragons, the Dragon Fire Committee and all of our fans and supporters. The Dragon Fire Walk for Athletics will kick-off Friday evening and will continue on Saturday with a a whole host of events that will take-off at Nemzek Hall on MSUM’s campus.
