The Dragons Athletics Newsletter is released every Wednesday and includes an inside look into the athletics department, the teams and results from the week. MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons wrestling team announced Wednesday, that their endowment dual for the 2010 season is scheduled for Fri., Feb. 5 against Southwest Minnesota State. The matches will begin at 7 p.m. at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse.
The endowment dual is a way to help ensure the long-term future of the MSUM Wrestling program. This proceeds from the gate will raise money for the John Sterner wrestling endowment fund. Tickets for the event are $6.

“The Faces of Excellence,” an exhibition of the 2010 Excellence in Art scholarship recipients, will be showing through Feb. 7 in the Livingston Lord Library. A colloquium and slide presentation of the students’ work will be Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Center for Business 111. A reception will follow. The following students will be featured: Kellie Hames, Tate Milady, Elise Hylden, Kaylyn Gerenz, Jill Peterson and Chelsea Lee.
Laura Fasick, English, will deliver a paper titled “The Challenges and Opportunities of Teaching Religiously-Based Texts” at the MNCUEW (Minnesota College and University English and Writing) conference in St. Paul. The conference runs April 2-3 and brings together faculty from around the region to share ideas on teaching literature and writing.
