Carney presented on “Globalizing Social Work Education”

Dr. Jeremy Carney, School of Social Work, presented at the Minnesota Council on Social Work Education annual conference on Oct. 4. Dr. Carney’s presentation was entitled “Globalizing Social Work Education: Developing a Study-Abroad Experience.” A concrete template for planning a short-term study abroad experience specific to social work education was shared with faculty throughout the region.

Hong’s edited Korean-language essays accepted for publication

Chang-Seong Hong, Philosophy, collected and edited six Korean-language essays on Buddhism written by six different authors and had the article accepted for publication in Seoul Korea. Amy (Kemp) Miller, class of 2009, visited the economics department and presented in Professor Oscar Flores’ econometrics class. Miller was invited back as a member of the department’s new Economics Alumni Board. Miller is a marketing analytics consultant at Pinpoint Systems in Minneapolis and is currently consulting at Sears.
