The MSUM Dragons swimming team will end the 2009 year this weekend as they compete at the Falcon Invite in Minneapolis, Minn. The invite is hosted by UW-River Falls. The Dragons enter the invite as the No. 10 ranked NCAA DII team, topping all other Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schools. Incarnate Word (Texas), who is picked to win the RMAC, is ranked No. 14. Most recently, the Dragons topped Concordia (Minn.) 211-79.
The MSU Moorhead basketball teams will open the 2009-10 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference season on Friday and Saturday as they travel to Bemidji State (Minn.) and Minnesota-Duluth, respectively. The Dragons women’s team will play both teams at 6 p.m. each night.The Dragons men’s team goes into league play with a 2-3 overall record. The MSUM Dragons wrestling team is set to host the 2009 Dragon Open on Sat., Dec. 5. Wrestling will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Dragons will host 13 teams in a two-division open.
