MSUM presents alumni awards during Homecoming
MSU Moorhead will present alumni awards to seven of its graduates during its Homecoming celebration Sept. 18-26. Receiving Alumni Awards: John Richman, president of North Dakota State College of Science; Sal Haider, president of Haider Development Corporation; Jason Nordmark, a North Dakota newspaper publisher and printer; Kerstin Kealy Esterby, a WDAY television news anchor and producer; Larry Dahlen, associate professor at Mount Mary College; and Cynthia and Gary Nolte. Homecoming 2009 kicks off with parade, alumni welcome zone Sept. 18
The Homecoming Parade begins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18. Join alumni and friends at the Alumni Welcome Zone in front of the Alumni House on the corner of 6th Street and 11th Avenue. Iconic Photo Part Olson’s Lasting Legacy
During the 1957 Fargo tornado, Forum photographer Cal Olson captured an iconic image many still associate with the disaster more than 50 years later. Olson died Thursday in a Duluth, Minn., hospital at age 84, after falling and striking his head Wednesday at his cabin on Big Island Lake in Itasca County.
