1,700 students participate in Tri-College math contest

More than 1,700 students in grades six through 12 will be testing their mathematical skills at the 36th annual Tri-College University Mathematics Contest held at Minnesota State University Moorhead on Wednesday, March 17. The competition consists of three levels: two high school levels for students in grades 11-12 and students in grades 9-10; and a middle school level for students in grades 6-8. Hest talks on storytelling, marriage at dean’s lecture March 4

Dr. Theresa Hest, Communication Studies, will present a Dean’s Lecture from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Thursday, March 4 in MacLean 181. Her topic is “What is the role of storytelling in a marriage?” Based on data collected from 177 married couples, this presentation will explore the forms of marital stories, the functions of these stories, and the key role of storytelling in relational maintenance. The event is free and open to the public.

TCU announces collaborative grant funds for faculty, staff & students

In an effort to promote new collaborative initiatives, Tri-College University announces the availability of one-time start-up grant funds for faculty, staff and students. TCU has found that through sharing resources, a greater number of people can be positively impacted and efficiencies readily obtained.
